Son of W.F.Kirby (see above) and his wife (nee Kappel). Published several entomological books including Beetles, Butterflies, Moths and Other Insects and Insect Foes and Friends, 1898, and wrote an introduction to E.Hofmann, The Young Beetle-Collector’s Handbook, 1897. (MD 8/03)
