Best known for his work on Indian Lepidoptera and later on Hesperiidae in the NHM, but appears to have had an interest in Cdoleoptera too for amongst the collection of manuscript material in the Museum listed by Harvey et al (1996) is a notebook Catalogue of Coleoptera from Grenada, c.1891.
