A Reverend who lived at Corsham, Wiltshire. He wrote several notes about Coleoptera the most important of which was a 'Catalogue of Coleoptera found in the neighbourhood of Dublin', Nat. Hist. Rev., 1, 1854, pp.32-34, 88-91, 98-101, with Supplement, ibid., 3, 1856, pp.72-73. Johnson and Halbert (1901), noted that Hogan's Dublin list was largely composed of Haliday's and Furlong's records and that it was brought up to date and re-edited by Professor R. McNab and appeared in the British Association Guide to the County of Dublin in 1878. (MD 5/03)
