Description

Size: 3-4.5mm
Basic colour: Elytra yellow with black border.

Pronotoum: Yellow with black band at the rear
Leg colour: Black

Biology

Status: Scattered and uncommon in southern England and Wales. Scarce (Notable A)
Habitat: Various
Host plant: Various Fabaceae, especially gorse Ulex europaeus and dwarf gorse U. minor.
Overwintering: Probably as larvae, pupating in April.
Food: Adults on foliage, larvae probably at roots.
Other notes: Unknown tachinid larva is an internal parasite.
