Status: Scattered, mainly in the north and west. Scarce (Notable A) but also RDB listed.

Habitat: Various boggy areas with Cyperaceae (sedges and club-rushes); in Scotland, especially associated with beds of beak-sedges, Rhynchospora spp.
Host plant: Various Cyperaceae, especially bottle sedge, Carex rostrata.
Overwintering: As adults.
Food: Adults on pollen, larval food unknown.
